Williamsons Solicitors is celebrating the new year with its 10th anniversary in Driffield by opening new, bigger offices with an enlarged team of legal specialists.

The firm, which also has offices in Hull and Brildington, now has 10 staff serving the Wolds market town, including four solicitors, a paralegal and five support staff.

From its new base at Times House, Mill Street, the company is looking to build on a decade of steady growth with an expansion that reflects confidence in its future in Driffield, said Sarah Clubley, director.

“We have been gradually adding to our team here to meet the increasing workload and have been looking for larger premises to meet existing and new requirements.

“It is fitting that this move comes as we enter the 10th year of having one of our offices directly based in the town. We have always tried to be a part of the community and offer a high quality legal service, which these changes can only reinforce and make long term.”

Williamsons Solicitors provides a range of legal services in Driffield including property, family and wills and probate solicitors on site, with the team in the town having ready access to all the other major disciplines via the Hull office including crime, personal injury and clinical negligence.

Solicitors Zoe Atkinson, Martina Baloch, Phil Hawkins and Gemma Foster are supported by legal clerk Jayne Oliver in the refurbished 3,300sqft offices, formerly home to the Driffield Times and Post.

This includes a larger reception area, more and larger meeting rooms, plus on-site parking for staff and clients. The building was originally renovated by Sarah Clubley’s father Mike Clubley in the 1980s.

Gemma Foster, who is from Driffield, said: “A lot of our work comes by recommendation from friends and families and we like to think that we provide a friendly, local face.

“As well as private legal work, we are building closer relationships with local business such as banks, financial advisers and estate agents.”

Williamsons Solicitors, which acquired the building through PPH Commercial, was formerly at a rented space on 23 Exchange Street.
