Free public films by anti-slavery activists Unchosen

Tomorrow’s Anti-Slavery Usable Past conference at Hull’s Wilberforce Institute for the Study of Slavery and Emancipation (WISE) will culminate in a free public film showing by anti-slavery activists Unchosen.

Open to the public, the University of Hull event, (Friday, Oct 16) aims to raise awareness of modern slavery through powerful short films followed by a Q&A and a panel discussion, featuring Shamere McKenzie, a survivor of modern-day sex slavery in the USA.

WISE is located at Oriel Chambers, 27 High Street, Hull HU1 1NE. Doors open with drinks reception from 17.15. Film at 18.00. Panel discussion from 18.45. Event finishes at 19.30.
